As for today, Sunday February 6, 2011...
Today I was able to sleep in and catch up on some much needed rest! Around 11 my roommate Inbar decided it was time for us to get up and make something of our day! So after we downed a coffee we headed to the Duomo to meet up with some friends of hers visiting from Milan to go see Michael Angelo's famous sculpture of "David." At first I was unsure if this "David" character was really worth paying 6.50 euros to see, however I must say it was definitely worth it. Although photographs were not allowed to be taken, I was not going to allow myself to leave that museum without proof that I actually saw "David." So I secretly snuck a few pictures, although the quality is not the greatest since they were taken from my camera which was still inside my purse, they are still a memory of my time with David.
Later today my other roommate Skylar and I went all over Florence trying to sell tickets for the super bowl event tonight...and it was an epic fail...instead we got distracted at the chocolate festival...ordered some "hot chocolate" which in Italy means melted chocolate, and decided to call it a day.
Tonight there is a big event going on at a club called "Space" for the superbowl. Since there is a pretty drastic time difference, and technically the game will start around midnight, it is still up for debate whether or not we will make an appearance!
